Hps Framework stands for High Performance Server Framework. It was created initially as a TCP server engine for a MMO gaming server. This is a separate library written for generic server applications, with support for custom binary/text protocols. The framework provides a nice mechanism to handle a large number of connections, network I/O, and understanding of custom protocol specifications.


I was writing a server for a MMO game, and there wasn't many C++ frameworks for writing servers that I was happy with in terms of easy-to-use API and support for custom protocols/client handlers.
